The present container depot at POIC Phase 3, Lahad Datu is under construction and it should be completed by November 2022. It can accommodate about 800 TEU and maybe further expended up to 2,500 TEU in the near future when need arises. Once completed, the existing depot shall be moved to the new depot which is less than 1km away from POIC Container Terminal. The strategic location of the depot shall bring about efficiency of handling import and export of goods within the BIMP-EAGA region.
